Job summary

Slalom’s Phoenix team seeks a Client Partner to lead energy and natural resources accounts, drive strategic client engagements, and grow the portfolio with a strong focus on delivering measurable outcomes. Qualifications

  • 8+ years leading large complex accounts in a consulting firm (Energy & Natural Resources).
  • Proven track record driving $2M–$4M in annual sales in Energy & Natural Resources.
  • Experience managing transformational programs with people, processes & technology.
  • Aligning technology solutions with evolving client needs.
  • Track record building and scaling profitable operations at C-Suite level.
  • Hands-on contract negotiation with NDAs, MSAs & SOWs.
  • Oversight, governance & quality assurance of all engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple customers within the Energy & Natural Resources portfolio and oversee all work in designated areas.
  • Generate sales opportunities, grow Slalom brand, develop executive relationships and respond to RFPs.
  • Deliver complex solutions on direct engagements and project teams with a delivery/advisory focus (60%+ utilization).
  • Contribute to Global Industry Strategy for energy portfolio direction, strategy, and goal setting.
  • Promote local market leadership by aligning global/local initiatives and representing Slalom at industry events.

Client Partners are closely engaged with their clients, bringing a deep understanding of client strategy, objectives, and industry context. They proactively identify opportunities to address client needs and challenges, while maintaining strong awareness of active delivery work and partnering with teams to drive excellent outcomes.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage multiple customers within the Energy & Natural Resources portfolio. Plus, oversight of all work in designated areas of responsibility; ownership of designated account plans, revenue generation, client satisfaction, engagement, delivery, financial account responsibility tracking and quality assurance.
  • Generate sales opportunities, grow the Slalom brand and network, grow executive relationships, collaborate with practice area leaders to create proposals, and respond to client RFPs.
  • Deliver complex solutions on direct engagements and project teams. Slalom believes that client facing roles should add value to our clients and have a delivery and advisory component to them. Without that, we risk losing credibility – and trust. As such, this role will carry a utilization target of 60%+.
  • Global Industry Strategy: member of the global Energy & Natural Resources team supporting energy industry client portfolio direction, strategy, and goal setting.
  • Have a focus on local market leadership & collaboration including the strategy alignment of the global and local market account initiatives, practice collaboration by defining service offerings and bringing those to market by utilizing all of Slalom resources and people, and promoting Slalom by attending and being involved in industry events, panels, boards, etc.
What You’ll Bring
  • A minimum of 8+ years of experience in leading large complex accounts in a consulting firm with focus on Energy & Natural Resources clients or have previous experience working within the Energy & Natural Resources industry.
  • Proven track record for driving/leading pursuits totaling $2M-4M in sales annually within the Energy & Natural Resources sector, demonstrating a deep understanding of industry dynamics, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Experience managing transformational programs that incorporate people, processes, and technology.
  • Extensive experience in aligning technology solutions with the specific functional needs of our clients with a lens on their evolving needs.
  • Demonstrated track record of building and scaling profitable business operations and managing relationships at a C-Suite level.
  • Hands‑on contract negotiation experience with NDAs, MSAs, & SOWs.
  • Deep experience with oversight, governance, and quality assurance of all sold/managed engagements.

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this role, we are hiring at the following levels and targeted base pay salary ranges: The targeted base salary pay range for Phoenix is $144,000 to $216,000. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
