Job summary

BNY in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a skilled trade processing professional to own end-to-end settlement activities and related controls.

You will be the primary contact for process queries, client escalations, and senior stakeholders, coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely settlement, accurate wire payments, and compliant operations within SLA. Strong SWIFT knowledge and client relationship skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Experience in corporate trust or related financial services field (3–5 years).
• Knowledge of wire payments and SWIFT messaging is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end trade processing through settlement, including task allocation, controls, and risk management.
• Serve as primary contact for process queries, client escalations, and senior stakeholders.
• Manage day-to-day custody deal servicing for institutional clients and resolve queries.
• Process and review wire payments and cash movements with accuracy and timeliness.
• Interpret and troubleshoot SWIFT messages related to settlement and movements.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely settlement and resolve breaks.
• Support bond market settlement activities and coupon processing.
• Coordinate tax documentation for portfolios in collaboration with internal tax team.
• Maintain relationships with clients, counterparties, and correspondent banks.
• Prepare client reporting and ensure SLA adherence.
• Identify process improvements and support automation initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and audits.
