BNY is seeking a detail-oriented Client Operations Analyst to support account lifecycle activities within custody and accounting platforms. • Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in an analyst, banking, financial services, trade operations, accounting, or related analytical role preferred.
• Strong time management, organization, and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Account Lifecycle Support: Assist with account opening, maintenance, and closing activities across custody and accounting platforms
• Data Management: Retrieve, collect, validate, and maintain account and operational data with a high degree of accuracy
• Procedure Review: Review existing procedures and assist with updates to improve accuracy, consistency, and operational efficiency
• Departmental Projects: Participate in special projects and cross-functional initiatives as assigned
• Operational Support: Assist with analytical and administrative tasks that support day-to-day client operations
• Communication & Follow-Up: Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders regarding account-related information and follow up on outstanding items as needed
• Team Collaboration: Work independently and as part of a team while managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Client Operations Analyst to support account lifecycle activities within custody and accounting platforms. This role will focus on account openings, maintenance, and closures, along with data validation, procedure updates, and departmental projects. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational and multitasking skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team. Training will be provided, and the role offers an opportunity to develop experience within a financial services operations environment. This role is based in Pittsburgh, PA and follows a hybrid schedule with 4 days onsite and 1 day remote per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Account Lifecycle Support: Assist with account opening, maintenance, and closing activities across custody and accounting platforms
• Data Management: Retrieve, collect, validate, and maintain account and operational data with a high degree of accuracy
• Procedure Review: Review existing procedures and assist with updates to improve accuracy, consistency, and operational efficiency
• Departmental Projects: Participate in special projects and cross-functional initiatives as assigned

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred
• 1–3 years of experience in an analyst, banking, financial services, trade operations, accounting, or related analytical role preferred
• Strong time management, organization, and multitasking skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with additional Microsoft Office applications is a plus
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
• High attention to detail and ability to manage data accurately
• Ability to work independently, ask questions, and follow up as needed
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in banking, financial services, or client operations
• Experience supporting account setup, maintenance, or other operational processes
• Background in trade operations, accounting, business analysis, or similar analytical functions
• Familiarity with custody, accounting platforms, or financial services terminology
• Experience reviewing procedures, maintaining documentation, or supporting process improvements
