Job summary

Rago/Wright in Los Angeles seeks a Client Management Associate to join our gallery team, delivering first-class client service and administrative support to Specialists. You will greet visitors, answer inquiries, coordinate consignments, contracts and bid registrations, and assist with day-of-sale operations.

This role acts as a liaison for consignors and bidders, handling inquiries, data entry, and coordination with cataloguing and client accounting for smooth transactions in a fast-paced,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of administrative and customer service experience in a fast-paced, client-facing role.
  • Experience in an auction house, gallery, or museum setting preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, Slack, and database systems.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the front of house representative in our LA Modern Auctions galleries, greeting clients and directing them to the appropriate department.
  • Facilitate an exceptional in-person client experience by liaising with clients and Specialists, and ensuring top client service during exhibitions and bidder registrations.
  • Provide administrative support to Specialists, including data entry for consignments, proposals, and contracts; generate consignor agreements; coordinate shipping follow-up.
  • Coordinate with Cataloguing on consignments and inventory management as needed.
  • Work with Client Accounting on consignor-related questions and terms entry.
  • Assist with client inquiries (phone, email, etc.) related to contracts, shipping and sales schedules.
  • Assist bidders with pre-sale questions and bid registrations.
  • Provide day-of-sale and event support as needed.

Rago/Wright is looking for a Client Management Associate to join our collaborative team to provide comprehensive administrative support to Specialists and serve as the first point of contact in our LA Modern Auctions Gallery. As a Client Management Associate, you will utilize excellent client service to ensure a smooth operational experience for our clients. The position also serves as a key liaison for consignors and bidders, handling inquiries related to contracts, commissions, submissions, bid registration, and providing day-of-sale support as needed.Rago/Wright is a network of auction houses specializing in fine art, design, decorative arts, jewelry and watches, and pop culture. Comprised of six industry-leading brands – Rago, Wright, LA Modern Auctions, Toomey & Co., Poster Auctions International, and Landry Pop Auctions – we represent a powerful force in the marketplace. With galleries in Lambertville, NJ, Chicago, IL, Los Angeles, CA, and New York City, NY, our teams collaborate across departments and locations, working closely together to support the company leading up to and during auctions and exhibitions in a fast-paced and creatively driven environment. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Serve as the front of house representative in our LA Modern Auctions galleries, greeting clients, providing direction to the appropriate department during client visits including to Specialists, previews, incoming and outgoing property departments, as well as assisting with general inquiries in person, by phone and over email
  • Facilitate and support an exceptional in-person client experience by liaising with clients and Specialists, providing detailed information on exhibitions and the bidder registration process as needed, and ensuring excellent client service throughout
  • Provide administrative support to Specialists to ensure top client service and operational execution, including but not limited to data entry for prospective consignments, proposals, and contracts; generate and distribute consignor agreements; and coordinate shipping follow-up, notifying property management teams of incoming property
  • Coordinate and liaise with Cataloguing team on designated consignments and inventory management as needed
  • Work with Client Accounting to address consignor-related questions regarding terms entry, introductory commissions and other questions related to the client consignment process
  • Assist with client service related to consignor inquiries (phone, email and other company platforms), submissions and follow up questions related to contracts, shipping and sales schedules
  • Assist bidders as needed with pre-sale questions and bid registration
  • Day of sale and special events assistance as requested
Compensation & Benefits:
  • Salary: $55,000–$65,000 annually, depending on qualifications, experience and skillset
