Job summary

Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston (IM Houston) is seeking a Client Intake Specialist. You will handle intake calls, perform eligibility assessments, and direct inquiries to services.

You will coordinate referrals to IM programs and partner agencies, while maintaining data in the Caseworthy ServTracker system. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with 2+ years in customer service and clerical work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred.
• Minimum two years of customer service and clerical experience.
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel) and databases.
• Dependable with good organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Detail oriented with effective verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Answer and handle all client intake calls and complete intake assessments.
• Determine baseline of client eligibility and direct inquiries to client services staff.
• Provide referrals to other IM programs and services and to partner organizations.
• Maintain client services data and waiting lists in the case management system.
• Assist in developing flyers for MOW clients and prepare reports as needed.
