Job summary

Hancock Whitney Covington Financial Center is seeking a friendly teller to provide accurate, fast service, handle deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and other financial transactions. You will engage clients in person and by phone, promote digital banking tools, reference internal partners, and help maintain secure, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 6 months cash-handling, retail, or teller experience.
• Previous sales and referral experience strongly preferred.
• Must comply with banking laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional client interactions emphasizing accuracy, speed, problem resolution, risk mitigation, and personalized engagement.
• Handle client transactions including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, credit card advances, money orders, negotiable items, and loan payments.
• Respond to client servicing requests with product knowledge to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
• Build, maintain, and grow client relationships in-person and via outbound calls.
• Educate clients on digital solutions (mobile, online, and ATM banking) to promote self-service adoption.
• Refer clients to internal business partners as financial needs are identified.
• Support financial center operations, including opening/closing procedures and balancing.
• Uphold risk management, compliance, and security standards.
