Job summary

Columbia Bank is seeking a friendly, client‑focused banker in Chico, CA. You will provide immediate acknowledgement to clients, identify financial needs, and offer appropriate products and services.

The role includes opening consumer and business accounts and supporting teller functions as needed. You will build long‑term relationships, expand client holdings, and participate in reviews to uncover lending opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year Teller or other banking experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of consumer banking and business products and services offered.
• Ability to develop consumer lending skills.
• Accurately handle cash, balance accounts and drawers, and perform accurate calculations.
• Proficient in expanding client relationships and building rapport with customers.
• NMLS license not required but preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent client service by acknowledging and addressing inquiries promptly.
• Engage clients in financial reviews to offer suitable solutions and uncover needs.
• Open consumer and business accounts for new and existing clients.
• Assist in teller duties and cash transactions when needed.
• Refer bank products and services to appropriate internal partners to meet client goals.
• Resolve client issues with proactive follow-through.
• Support diversity and inclusion in client interactions.
