Job summary

Morgan Stanley in McLean, VA is seeking a Business Development Associate to support Financial Advisors and Private Wealth Advisors. This role focuses on client experience, relationship building, and cross-functional collaboration with practice strategy consultants, business development managers and branch management.

Responsibilities include preparing for meetings, tracking follow-ups, creating client reports, assisting with marketing efforts, and contributing to the firm’s client service model.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of work experience in a field relevant to the position.
• Four-year college degree or professional certification preferred.
• Active Series 7 and Series 66 or Series 63 and Series 65 required; additional licenses may be required.

Responsibilities

• Cultivating relationships with business partners and colleagues internally and externally.
• Support FAs/PWAs/teams in delivering exceptional client service and meetings.
• Prepare for meetings and track follow-ups; assist with marketing and webinars.
• Assist with research and client reports using firm-approved systems.
• Participate in client and prospective client meetings in a service-focused role.
• Help optimize business practice efficiencies and provide backup coverage as needed.
• Stay current on policies, procedures, and new platforms.
