Job summary

Bradshore Tax, part of the MyTaxFella family, is seeking an experienced Tax Preparer for our Staten Island office. This is a client-facing role for someone who is technically strong, comfortable meeting directly with clients, and capable of managing tax returns from the initial interview through completion.

The right candidate will join an established practice with a loyal client base and provide knowledgeable tax guidance and friendly, personal service throughout the year.

Qualifications

• At least three years of recent client-facing professional tax preparation experience.
• Strong knowledge of individual and small-business taxation.
• Experience preparing Forms 1040, 1065, 1120, and 1120-S.
• Ability to conduct client appointments independently.
• Valid PTIN.

Responsibilities

• Meet directly with individual and business clients to gather information and understand their tax situations.
• Prepare accurate federal and state individual and business income tax returns.
• Prepare returns for sole proprietorships, partnerships, S corporations, and corporations.
• Review prior-year returns and identify potential tax issues, missing information, and planning opportunities.
• Clearly explain tax results, estimated payments, filing requirements, and document requests to clients.
• Respond to routine IRS and state tax notices.
• Maintain organized and complete client files.
• Work closely with other preparers, administrative staff, and firm leadership.
• Provide excellent year-round client service.
• Assist with tax planning and other accounting-related projects based on experience.
