Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to serve as a trusted advisor to clients across sectors, focusing on compliance, employee relations, and HR best practices.

You will conduct HR audits, develop reports, support performance management, and help drive organizational development. A consultative, client-facing mindset and strong communication skills are essential. Onsite engagements in the Northeast may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of HR Generalist experience across multiple industries.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws (Federal and Multi-State), compliance, and policy development.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills; consultative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted advisor on HR best practices, compliance, and employee relations.
• Evaluate and enhance HR policies, procedures, and programs to ensure legal compliance and efficiency.
• Conduct HR audits, develop reports, and recommend workflow improvements.
• Support performance management, organizational development, and change initiatives.
• Represent the company at client meetings, conferences, and industry events.
• Build consultative relationships with client leadership teams.
• Maintain detailed records of client interactions, projects, outcomes.
• Provide training as backup trainer for client-facing HR workshops.
