Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Employee Relations professional to oversee strategy and support across a defined region. You will partner with HR Business Partners and Legal to ensure fair and compliant practices.

In this role you will guide managers and staff on policies, handle moderately complex cases, document thoroughly, and participate in audits and grievance procedures while supporting HR initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources or business required; alternative: high school diploma + 4 years of HR/employee relations experience.
• Minimum 3 years experience in Employee Relations or related HR discipline with knowledge of labor laws.
• Professional HR certification preferred (SHRM-CP/PHR).
• Experience in Retail and/or Financial Services is a plus.
• Strong communication, confidentiality and ethical standards.
• Proficient with MS Office and HRIS/case management systems.

Responsibilities

• Provides strategic oversight and support for employee relations across a defined region and business segments.
• Advises managers and employees on HR policies, conflict resolution, and performance management.
• Resolves moderately complex employee relations issues.
• Documents and tracks employee relations cases with well-written justifications within the Case Management system to ensure consistency and mitigate risk.
• Supports internal audits and recommends corrective actions.
• Works as a liaison between training and managers to fill skill gaps and promote best practices.
• Monitors and reports on employee relations trends and metrics.
• Participates in grievance procedures and compliance‑related documentation.
• Supports HR initiatives and special projects as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
