Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a Customer Service Representative to support a growing organization within the insurance and financial services industry. The role focuses on delivering an exceptional client experience while supporting annuity and life insurance products, and building strong, long-term client relationships.

This on-site position requires you to sit in Durham, NC, three days per week with a Monday–Friday 9:00–6:00 schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant customer service experience.
• Ability to pass call center simulation testing demonstrating multitasking skills.
• Positive, team-oriented mindset in a fast-paced environment.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage client communications via phone, email, chat, and text regarding service and claims needs.
• Resolve client requests and escalate only when necessary to completion.
• Process service transactions including withdrawals, surrenders, and ownership changes.
• Explain contract benefits and product information in a clear, client-friendly manner.
• Support contract retention efforts and promote use of digital client platforms.
• Provide technical assistance with the client portal and support special projects.
