Mechanics Bank is seeking a Customer Service Representative II for our Ballard Branch in Seattle. The role focuses on acquiring, retaining, and expanding customer relationships, with emphasis on profiling customers and recommending suitable banking products.

You will handle deposits and withdrawals, open and close accounts, and balance daily transactions while delivering exceptional service. A strong emphasis on cross-selling and teamwork drives success in this position.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years cash handling and customer service experience. Banking experience preferred.
• Experience opening new deposit accounts preferred.
• Ability to cross-sell banking products and meet referral goals.
• Proficient in teller/bank software and MS Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Interview and profile customers to recommend banking products and services.
• Open and close customer accounts including checking, savings, CDs, and IRAs.
• Sell financial products and services to meet referral goals.
• Perform teller duties: deposits, withdrawals, transfers, balancing.
• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain professionalism.
