Position OverviewThe Division of Family & Community Services is seeking to hire an energetic and detail-oriented Client Employment and Training Coordinator to assist staff in the Region 1 South Family Community Resource Center. The Division helps Illinois residents by connecting them with employment and training services/activities. Through our programs, services and prevention efforts, the Division improves the health and well-being of individuals and promotes self-sufficiency and integrity of families of Illinois.
Essential FunctionsServes as Client Employment and Training Coordinator for Region 1 South.
As part of the regional team in in collaboration with regional training staff, assist in developing, implementing, and evaluating training for regional staff on employment-related policies and procedures, as it relates to employment and training programs for clients.
Performs liaison and public relation duties for the region.
Maintains liaison relationships for employment-related issues with TANF Program staff in the Division and the Department.
Directs management studies of regional client employment and training related outcomes.
Provides input and coordinates efforts with the Division’s Regional Offices to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Performs other duties as assigned or required which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above.
Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college, preferably with courses in business or public administration.
Requires two (2) years of responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization.
Of the two (2) years progressively responsible administrative experience in the fields of health or human services, requires two (2) years of experience working with work and training programs, or the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program, developing TANF related materials, and working with community partners and outside agencies developing Responsibility Service Plans (RSPs) and enrolling TANF customers in self-sufficiency activities, such as work or training programs.
Two (2) years of experience working with work and training programs, or the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program, developing TANF related materials, and working with community partners and outside agencies developing Responsibility Service Plans (RSPs) and enrolling TANF customers in self-sufficiency activities, such as work or training programs.
Two (2) years of professional experience researching and implementing options and updates for training formats including technology, accommodations, web-based training, remote learning etc. to ensure availability, learning capabilities and accessibility of training for all audiences.
One (1) year of professional experience communicating effectively, orally and in writing, with small and large internal and external audiences.
Two (2) years of professional experience in researching and reviewing program concerns and reports such as audit findings, quality assurance reviews, case management reports, and federal and state outcome measures to develop and implement targeted program specific training to support a public or private organizations goals and objectives.
One (1) year of professional experience utilizing Federal and State requirements in the development of employment training.
One (1) year of professional experience utilizing computer software, including but not limited to Microsoft Suite and other special software for developing reports, training evaluations.
