Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in New York seeks an Associate Alternatives Investment Specialist to support Private Client Advisors and clients with alternative investments. You will manage documents, coordinate with partners, and respond to client inquiries while adhering to firm policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of financial services experience.
• Interest in alternative investments and willingness to learn.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Active Series 7 required or must be obtained within 90 days.
• If registered after Oct 1, 2018, must have an active SIE exam.
• Active Series 66 license required or must be obtained within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Manage Alternatives documents, including submission, monitoring and working with clients to complete/correct.
• Support Private Client Advisors and their clients by assisting with service requests and alternative investment transactions.
• Help gather required documentation and coordinate with partners to ensure timely and accurate completion of transactions.
• Respond to basic inquiries related to alternative investments, escalating complex issues to senior team members.
• Learn and follow operational procedures, compliance requirements, and industry best practices to ensure activities are executed accurately and in accordance with firm policies.
• Collaborate with Advisors, clients, and cross-functional teams to collect necessary information and facilitate approvals.
• Track the progress of requests and provide status updates to Advisors and clients as needed.
• Develop foundational knowledge of alternative investments, including hedge funds, private equity, private credit, private real estate, and infrastructure.
• Participate in training sessions and team meetings to stay current on product offerings, operational changes, and regulatory updates.
• Contribute to a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the operations support team.
• Seek guidance and mentorship from senior team members to support professional development.
