Job Description

Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA) helps Visa clients-including financial institutions and merchants-achieve measurable business results. Leveraging expertise in strategy, data analytics, brand management, marketing, operations, and economics, VCA addresses clients' most critical business challenges.

The North America Consulting Practice provides advisory and solution services to U.S. issuers. By combining deep expertise in banking, payments, and analytics, the team helps clients advance strategic priorities, accelerate growth, and improve profitability. VCA delivers a broad range of consulting solutions focused on areas such as profitability enhancement, growth strategy, customer experience, digital payments, and risk management.

We are seeking a Director to join the Community segment and help deliver high-impact consulting engagements for Visa clients across North America. This individual will be responsible for both selling consulting services and leading the delivery and implementation of solutions for U.S. financial institutions and issuing banks. The role focuses on driving sustainable, profitable growth while strengthening Visa's position as a trusted strategic partner.

Typical engagements include market expansion, profitability optimization, customer segmentation, growth strategy, product development, program launches, customer acquisition, lifecycle management, retention, and portfolio enhancement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with internal Visa stakeholders to support strategic planning and business development initiatives.
  • Manage a portfolio of target clients, build a consulting sales pipeline, and achieve revenue goals.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives, Client Marketing teams, and VCA delivery teams on account planning and opportunity development.
  • Identify and develop consulting opportunities with issuing banks and credit unions, contributing to successful deal closure.
  • Work across Visa teams to design integrated solutions that address client growth priorities.
  • Maintain accurate records for pricing, approvals, funding, legal reviews, and revenue recognition processes.
Consulting Leadership
  • Lead consulting engagements by defining project scope, timelines, resource requirements, and subject matter expert involvement in alignment with Statements of Work and Business Initiative Addenda.
  • Develop frameworks, methodologies, recommendations, and solutions that address clients' most significant opportunities and challenges.
  • Deliver actionable insights and strategies that help clients grow portfolios and deepen customer engagement.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, risk, innovation, and New Flows, as well as global Community teams, to maximize the value of Visa's capabilities.
  • Produce data-driven analyses and strategic recommendations that improve client performance and support growth objectives.
  • Analyze large internal and industry datasets to uncover meaningful insights and business opportunities.
  • Leverage AI and agentic workflows to increase efficiency, scalability, and effectiveness across consulting engagements.

Candidates for this role should be self-motivated, energized, and detail-oriented, with the ability to provide strategic thought leadership, diagnose business challenges, and deliver high-impact solutions that support client growth and performance. They must be able to build lasting, strategic relationships with internal and external clients across the Visa organization. The ideal candidate can manage multiple priorities, has demonstrated experience closing sales, and understands the debit and credit payments landscape, including the nuances of the Community client segment. This role is an independent contributor position, reporting to a Senior Director within VCA. Candidates already located in other Visa office locations may be considered with the right experience.

Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
