McDaniel Insurance Agency in Shelbyville, KY is seeking a dependable Personal Lines Insurance Account Manager to service an existing book of personal insurance clients and identify opportunities to improve coverage. You will build lasting relationships with clients and carriers, communicate clearly, and coordinate policy changes.

The ideal candidate is organized, professional, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with homeowners, auto, umbrella, and other personal lines.

Qualifications

• Experience in insurance, customer service, or account management preferred.
• Property & Casualty license preferred; willingness to obtain license for right candidate.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills; detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service to personal lines clients by phone, email, and in person.
• Manage policies including homeowners, auto, umbrella, recreational vehicle, and other personal insurance products.
• Process policy changes, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, and other service requests.
• Review renewals and coverage.
• Obtain quotes and remarket accounts when appropriate.
• Explain coverage, deductibles, premiums, and policy options clearly to clients.
• Assist clients with billing, claims questions, and general policy concerns.
• Communicate with insurance carriers regarding underwriting and policy servicing.
• Maintain accurate client and policy information in the agency management system.
• Document client communications and follow up on outstanding items.
• Identify cross-selling opportunities and refer additional insurance needs when appropriate.
• Build long-term relationships by providing responsive, friendly, and professional service.
• Follow agency procedures and applicable insurance regulations.
