Job summary

First Bank in Iowa seeks a Personal Banker to deliver excellent customer service, open and maintain customer accounts, and originate loans. You will help customers meet financial goals by recommending suitable products and services, while building strong banking relationships.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, 2+ years of customer service, and current NMLS registration or eligibility. Prior banking experience and a 2-year business/finance degree are preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• NMLS registration or eligibility to obtain one is required.
• Previous banking experience and a 2-year degree in business/finance or related field are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, high-quality customer service and respond to questions or requests.
• Open, close, and transfer accounts (checking, savings, CDs, IRAs, business, etc.).
• Originate loans: guide customers through application, document prep, and closing.
• Cross-sell bank products and services to deepen relationships with customers.
• Assist with loan collections and related processes as needed.
• Support other bank activities and areas as requested.
