Job summary

GeneDx is seeking a Client Billing Manager to oversee the diagnostic laboratory billing process, invoicing, and accounts receivable management. Qualifications

• Associate degree in healthcare administration, business, or finance.
• 5–7 years in laboratory billing or revenue cycle management.
• Strong understanding of HIPAA and healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the client billing process for diagnostic laboratory services from invoice submission through final resolution, ensuring timely and accurate reimbursement.
• Oversee the review and resolution of disputed, pending, and aging invoice balances, ensuring thorough investigation and appropriate corrective action.
• Ensure invoices are reviewed, submitted, and managed in accordance with client, GeneDx and LSA requirements, guidelines, and regulatory standards.
• Partner with internal teams and external billing vendors to resolve complex issues and improve reimbursement outcomes.
• Monitor invoice inventory, accounts receivable performance, and operational metrics to ensure service level expectations are achieved.
• Lead, coach, and develop the Client Billing team, setting clear performance expectations and driving accountability for productivity, quality, and reimbursement results.
