Job summary

GeneDx is seeking a Client Billing Manager to oversee the client billing process for diagnostic laboratory services, including invoicing and accounts receivable management. You will lead the Client Billing team and collaborate with billing vendors and internal stakeholders to maintain workflows aligned with LSAs.

The role focuses on optimizing performance, improving operational efficiency, and maximizing reimbursement outcomes, with emphasis on accuracy, compliance (HIPAA), and timely revenue

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in laboratory billing, insurance claims, client billing or revenue cycle management.
• Strong understanding of HIPAA and healthcare regulations.
• Experience with insurance claim processes and reimbursement methodologies.
• Ability to analyze invoices, identify trends, and resolve issues.
• Leadership skills to coach and develop a billing team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the client billing process from invoice submission to final resolution, ensuring timely reimbursements.
• Oversee review of disputed, aging, and pending invoices and coordinate corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with client, GeneDx, and LSA requirements and regulatory standards.
• Partner with internal teams and external vendors to resolve complex billing issues.
• Coordinate new client setup and pricing updates within the billing system.
• Monitor AR performance and set KPIs to meet service level expectations.
• Lead and coach the Client Billing team, driving productivity and quality.
• Identify trends and root causes to implement process improvements.
• Prepare reports on client activity, reimbursement trends, and team performance.
