Job summary

Triumvirate Environmental seeks a Client Billing Operations Analyst to own reporting and analytics for the billing and sales operations workflow. The role emphasizes turning messy data into clear, actionable insights for leadership and operations teams.

The position reports to the Corporate Director of Client Experience and will be fully onsite for 90 days, followed by a hybrid schedule approved by management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 1–2+ years in sales operations or similar analytical role
• Advanced Excel skills with pivot tables and dashboards
• Ability to translate data trends into actionable recommendations
• Strong written and verbal communication, cross-department collaboration

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain dashboards tracking CPQ status, onboarding progress, PO gaps, and team workload
• Translate raw data into clear visuals and narratives for technical and non-technical audiences
• Prepare data for QBRs, monthly waste reporting, and leadership summaries
• Identify process inefficiencies and drive improvements to reduce errors and cycle time
• Document processes to ensure repeatability and scalability
• Support forecasting and capacity planning for Sales Ops

Client Billing Operations Analyst

Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking a Billing Operations Analyst for our Somerville, MA team.

We're looking for a Client Billing Operations Analyst who is equally comfortable digging into a messy spreadsheet and presenting a clean, actionable insight to leadership. This role owns the reporting and analysis that keeps our sales cycle, billing accuracy, and account operations running smoothly.

This position reports to the Corporate Director of Client Experience. This position will be fully onsite for the first 90 days. After 90 days, the position will follow a hybrid schedule approved by the manager and Human Resources.

Responsibilities:

Reporting & Dashboards

• Build and maintain dashboards tracking CPQ status, customer onboarding progress, purchase order (PO) gaps, and team workload
• Translate raw operational data into clear, digestible visuals and narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Prepare data for Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), monthly waste account reporting, and leadership summaries

Analysis & Process Improvement

• Analyze recurring delays, rework, billing gaps, and process bottlenecks to identify root causes and translate them into concrete, actionable recommendations
• Recommend and help implement process improvements that reduce errors and cycle time
• Document processes and reporting logic so they're repeatable and scalable
• Support forecasting related to Sales Ops workload and team capacity planning
• Identify opportunities to standardize and streamline Sales Ops workflows

Cross-Functional Partnership

• Partner closely with Technical Services and Sales leadership to improve data quality at the point of intake
• Serve as a liaison between Sales, Billing, and Technical Services to resolve data and process gaps
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders at multiple levels

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 1-2+ years of experience in sales operations, business operations, or a similar analytical role
• Advanced Excel skills required, including pivot tables and dashboard-building experience (Power BI, Tableau, or similar a plus)
• Demonstrated ability to identify process inefficiencies and drive improvement
• Strong analytical and detail-oriented approach, with the ability to translate data trends into actionable recommendations and next steps
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively across departments to align data quality and process improvements
• Comfortable operating amid ambiguity, with the ability to bring structure to loosely defined problems
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship
• Must have a reliable form of transportation

Actual starting base pay may vary based on factors such as education, experience, skills, location and budget.
