The Humane Society of Missouri is seeking a friendly Client and Animal Services Specialist to join our front desk team. You will greet visitors, answer calls, process intakes and adoptions, and keep records accurate.

This entry-level, full-time role focuses on compassionate communication with the public and animal care support. Starting pay is $16/hour with benefit options including health, retirement, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 3 months of customer service experience preferred.
• Experience with animals is a plus.

Job description

The Humane Society of Missouri is seeking a highly motivated individual with a passion for helping animals. Our Client and Animal Services Specialist interacts with the public both in‑person and by phone to conduct animal intake/receiving, processing, and adoption of animals. This role primarily covers the front‑desk of the shelter. If you love working with animals and communicating with people, this job could be a great fit for you.

Responsibilities Include

• Cleaning reception area,
• Completing and filing paperwork,
• Operating Adoption Center computer system, and
• Providing essential care to animals received.

This is a full‑time, entry‑level position, which may include weekend hours. Starting pay is $16/hour. Qualified candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least 3 months of customer service and animal handling experience is preferred.
