The Humane Society of Missouri is seeking a friendly Client and Animal Services Specialist to manage front-desk operations, animal intake, processing, and adoptions. You will interact with the public in person and by phone, perform paperwork, and help ensure a welcoming shelter environment.

This full-time, entry-level role offers weekend hours, starting pay of $16 per hour, and benefits including health, retirement, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Front-desk experience is a plus.

• Some customer service and animal handling experience is preferred.

Job description

The Humane Society of Missouri is seeking a highly motivated individual with a passion for helping animals. Our Client and Animal Services Specialist interacts with the public both in-person and by phone to conduct animal intake/receiving, processing, and adoption of animals. This role primarily covers the front-desk of the shelter. If you love working with animals and communicating with people, this job could be a great fit for you.

• Providing essential care to animals received.

This is a full-time, entry-level position, which may include weekend hours. Starting pay is $16/hour. Qualified candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least 3 months of customer service and animal handling experience is preferred.
