Job summary

Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP is seeking a Client and Matter Analyst in Philadelphia, offering a hybrid in‑office/remote schedule. In this role you will manage conflicts data, perform analyses, and coordinate with attorneys and staff to resolve conflicts issues.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree and at least two years of relevant experience, strong writing and communication skills, and a detail‑oriented, client‑service mindset in a fast‑paced professional environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience required.
• Legal experience, particularly in conflicts, is preferred but not required.
• Excellent writing, proofreading, and oral communication skills.
• Creative and analytical thinking and strong client service mentality.
• Ability to concentrate on highly detailed information and maintain confidentiality.

• Maintain the Elite 3E and iManage Conflicts database as it pertains to client and matter data.
• Perform conflict analysis on proposed client or matter party updates and facilitate communication of identified issues.
• Communicate with firm attorneys and staff to understand conflicts issues and review, research, and resolve conflicts.
• Compose written and verbal correspondence with attorneys and other staff.
• Answer email inquiries for status requests.
• Perform research locating material from various sources inside and outside the firm.
• Process a wide variety of conflicts database change requests.
• Ensure compliance with ethics related to firm policies and procedures.
• Monitor and assist with data entry tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

• Perform conflict analysis on proposed client or matter party updates and facilitate proper communication and coordination of identified issues.
• Communicate proactively with firm attorneys and support staff to understand conflicts of interest issues and independently review, research, and resolve conflicts issues.
• Compose written and verbal correspondence with attorneys and other support staff.
• Answer email inquiries for status requests.
• Perform research, locating material from various sources inside and outside the firm.
• Process a wide variety of conflicts database change requests.
• Ensure compliance with ethics related to firm policies and procedures.

Experience and Qualifications

• Associate degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience required; the equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Legal experience, particularly in conflicts, is preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and balance competing demands and meet deadlines in a busy, fast-paced professional environment.
• Excellent writing, proofreading, and oral communication skills.
• Creative and analytical thinking.
• Strong client service mentality.
• Ability to concentrate on highly detailed information, identify conflicts of interest questions, resolve them in a consensus environment, and keep confidential information regarding firm matters.
