Make Data Matter. Build Relationships. Drive Client Success.

Are you someone who loves turning data into insights, solving problems, and building strong client relationships?

MBMS is looking for a Client Analytics Manager (CAM) who can do more than analyze numbers—you’ll use data, communication, and business insight to help our healthcare clients make smarter decisions and improve their financial performance.

As a Client Analytics Manager, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to our clients. You’ll work closely with healthcare practices to understand their challenges, identify opportunities, translate complex information into meaningful insights, and help deliver solutions that make a measurable difference.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys a combination of analytics, healthcare, client consulting, relationship management, and problem-solving.

What You’ll Do
Be a Trusted Client Partner
  • Build strong, lasting relationships with healthcare practices and their leadership teams.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable, responsive resource and advocate for your clients.
  • Meet with clients to discuss performance, challenges, opportunities, and industry trends.
  • Present financial and operational insights in a way that is clear, meaningful, and actionable.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance services and create additional value for clients.
Turn Data Into Strategy
  • Analyze revenue cycle and month-end financial results.
  • Identify trends in revenue, payer mix, procedure mix, charges, and other key performance indicators.
  • Develop revenue projections and cash-flow analyses.
  • Benchmark client performance against comparable organizations and industry data.
  • Conduct carrier impact analyses and annual fee schedule reviews.
  • Develop recommendations based on your findings.
Solve Problems & Identify Opportunities
  • Proactively identify client challenges, opportunities, and potential threats.
  • Partner with internal teams to develop practical solutions.
  • Communicate significant issues proactively, including the cause, expected timeframe, financial impact, resolution plan, and prevention strategies.
  • Facilitate special projects and initiatives that improve client outcomes.
  • Bring forward ideas that can improve services for both individual clients and MBMS as a whole.
Build Reporting & Business Intelligence
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting packages.
  • Develop ad-hoc reports and analyses based on client needs.
  • Create meaningful dashboards and visualizations using Microsoft Power BI.
  • Utilize advanced Excel capabilities, including formulas, pivot tables, and charts.
  • Support data validation and integrity.
  • Help streamline reporting and develop new KPIs, measures, aggregations, and dynamic visualizations.
  • Provide training to internal and external teams on reporting tools.
Support Payer Contract Analysis
  • Partner with the Contract Variance Manager to review third-party payer contracts.
  • Analyze contract terms and fee schedules.
  • Monitor reimbursement and audit payments against contracted rates.
  • Communicate findings and opportunities to clients
Stay Ahead of Healthcare Trends

You’ll be expected to stay informed about changes and trends affecting the healthcare industry, revenue cycle management, reimbursement, and medical practice operations—and bring that knowledge to your client relationships.

QualificationsWhat We’re Looking For
  • Analytical – You enjoy digging into data and finding the story behind the numbers.
  • Client-focused – You understand that great service is about anticipating needs, not simply responding to requests.
  • A strong communicator – You can explain complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A problem solver – You naturally look for solutions and opportunities for improvement.
  • Confident and collaborative – You’re comfortable working directly with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Curious – You enjoy learning about healthcare, industry trends, technology, and business strategy.
  • Organized – You can manage multiple clients, projects, deadlines, and priorities.
  • Adaptable – You are comfortable learning new technologies and adjusting as business needs evolve.
Skills & Experience
Preferred qualifications include:
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and charts.
  • Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence/visualization platforms.
  • Experience working with data analytics, financial reporting, or revenue cycle information.
  • Strong presentation and client relationship skills.
  • Ability to analyze trends and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Healthcare, medical billing, revenue cycle, practice management, or analytics experience is a plus.

Professional certifications such as CMPE, CHBME, or CHDA are valued but are not required.

A Role With Real Client Impact

At MBMS, the Client Analytics Manager isn’t simply a reporting role.

You’ll have the opportunity to sit at the intersection of data, healthcare, technology, and client strategy.

Your insights can help practices understand their financial performance, identify opportunities, address challenges, and make better business decisions.

You’ll also collaborate across MBMS teams including Client Services, Operations, Coding, Credentialing, MIPS, and Marketing/Development, giving you exposure to a broad range of healthcare business functions.

Travel

This position includes some travel for client meetings, with frequency varying based on client needs. Occasional travel to MBMS offices in Reading, Newark, State College, and Somerset may also be required.

  • Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
Why This Role?

Analytics + Healthcare + Client Strategy + Relationship Building

If you enjoy working with data but don’t want to spend your entire day behind a spreadsheet—and you enjoy working with people, solving problems, and making an impact—this could be the role for you.

MBMS reserves the right to revise this job description as business needs evolve. This description represents the general responsibilities and requirements of the position and is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties.
