Job summary

Mowery & Schoenfeld, LLC in Lincolnshire, IL, is adding a CAS Senior Associate to our Client Advisory Services team. This role partners with senior management to deliver accounting advisory, GAAP conversions, and close processes for a diverse client base.

Ideal candidates are CPA-eligible with at least two years of accounting experience and a strong client-service orientation. Bachelor's in accounting required; advanced degree a plus and MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• CPA eligibility and 2+ years of accounting experience.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting required; advanced degree a plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and client-service skills.

Responsibilities

• Client Accounting advisory projects, including accounting remediations, implementations of new procedures, U.S. GAAP conversions, etc.
• Month-end close process
• Preparation of financial statements
• Client trainings on new procedures and accounting principals
• Preparation of financial forecasts & KPI reports
• Accounts Payable (bill entry, disbursements, manage vendor relationships, etc.)
• Payroll accounting
• Maintenance of sub-ledgers for all balance sheet accounts
• Accounting support or preparation of various business tax filings (1096, 1099, payroll tax, sales tax, etc.)
• Accounting support on annual audits and transaction projects
