Job summary

TechnipFMC is seeking an experienced Business Development/Sales Manager with upstream sales expertise to drive new business for the Drilling & Completions Portfolios within the Surface West Division. The role emphasizes identifying opportunities, developing strategies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to tailor proposals for key accounts.

Travel is expected; the candidate should be comfortable in an office setting and on-site meetings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business/Technical or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 8 years of upstream oil & gas industry experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of product offering and services for Surface West.
  • Strong engineering/technical background.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Outgoing, self-directed, aggressive, and creative.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Patience to communicate complex ideas and new applications.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and spend time in the office.

Responsibilities

  • Seeks and identifies business opportunities by communicating with customers, suppliers and colleagues in other regions; researches industry sources and networks at events.
  • Prepares sales strategies for targeted accounts and collaborates with technical and commercial staff to prepare proposals and presentations.
  • Works with the proposal team to capture customer requirements and drive standardization; proposes pricing based on market data.
  • Prepares monthly reports and internal memos to outline opportunities and forecast.
  • Keeps abreast of new products and industry trends; communicates updates to colleagues; attends industry trade shows and seminars.
  • Provides input to other functions to improve processes and customer satisfaction.
  • Meets training and development requirements.

Job Description
  • Seeks and identifies business opportunities by communicating with customers, other suppliers and colleagues in other regions and by researching business periodicals and Internet sites and by networking at industry sponsored events.
  • Prepares sales strategies for targeted accounts and utilizes expertise of other TechnipFMC staff (technical and commercial) to prepare and make proposals and presentations tocustomer.
  • Works with the proposal team to communicate customer requirements and to proactively drive customer specifications towards standardization. Proposes pricing based on market data. Also communicates information related to industry trends, competitors, and projected future business.
  • Prepares monthly reports and internal memos to communicate and outline opportunities, to take corrective actions to resolve issues before they become problems and to assist with forecasting.
  • Keeps abreast of new products, specifications, and industry trends, competitor strengths and weaknesses and communicates new information to TechnipFMC colleagues. Attends industry sponsored trade shows and seminars. Communicates potential opportunities to other TechnipFMC locations.
  • Provides input and assistance to other functional areas including Quality, Service and Safetyin order to improve processes and customer satisfaction levels.
  • Meets training and development requirements.
