Job summary

Brown & Brown, Inc seeks a Sr. Client Account Manager to service a diverse book of business in the Kentucky market, handling policy processing, renewals, client relationships, and coverage analyses to support growth.

This role can sit in Bowling Green, KY or Louisville, with Columbia, KY as the current focal area. You will manage day-to-day account activities, prepare renewal proposals, review forms, and ensure compliance while building strong client and carrier partnerships.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of insurance coverages, contracts, and state regulations where business is conducted.
  • Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Windows environment, including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Publisher.
  • 5+ years’ experience in the insurance industry, or a related field.
  • College Degree in a business-related field (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for day-to-day account management of an assigned book of business, including processing policies/endorsements, invoicing, issuance of certificates, claims reporting and follow up.
  • Build courteous client relationships with clients, vendors, and carriers to improve retention.
  • Manage renewal process, review pricing, prepare proposals, and negotiate renewals.
  • Review compliance documents to ensure alignment with client expectations and legal requirements.

The Client Account Manager Sr. is responsible for managing and servicing a book of business by handling policy processing, renewals, client relationships, coverage analysis, compliance documentation, and identifying opportunities to enhance coverage and support account growth. ***This position can sit in our Bowling Green or Louisville office location***

How You Will Contribute

Responsible for the day-to-day account management of an assigned book of business, including but not limited to processing policies/endorsements, invoicing, issuance of certificates of insurance, claims reporting and follow up as needed, premium breakdowns, auto ID cards, policy changes, review of policy forms, providing coverage comparisons, loss analysis and responding to coverage questions. Build courteous and successful relationships with clients, vendors and carriers to improve client retention. Identify gaps in coverage and consult leadership or producer of options to advise the client. Manage the renewal process for all assigned clients with the producer including ordering updated loss information, obtaining updated information, handling renewal applications, renewal marketing, account rounding, reviewing and negotiating the renewal pricing as well as preparing the renewal proposal, and binders. Review internal compliance and client disclosure requirements, policies, endorsements and certificates to ensure alignment with client expectations and legal requirements. Assist in growing the assigned book of business through account rounding and referrals. Document renewal, sales, and insurance operations compliance documents into the sales management database. Perform other duties as assigned

Licenses & Certifications

Valid Insurance Producer license.

Skills & Experience to be Successful

Knowledge of insurance coverages, contracts, and state regulations where business is conducted. Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Windows environment, including but not limited to Word, Excel, Power Point, and Publisher. Able to create, edit, and merge letters, spreadsheets, labels, etc. Proficient knowledge use of office equipment (including but not limited to copy machines, printers, faxes, binding machine, etc.) 5+ years’ experience in the insurance industry, or a related field. College Degree in a business-related field (preferred)
