Job summary

TheCorporate LLC seeks an experienced Client Account Manager to lead a team of Client Account Specialists and partner with attorneys and firm leadership to support billing, collections, and client account management.

The ideal candidate has strong billing and client accounting experience, leadership skills, financial analysis abilities, and a client-service mindset, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of experience in billing, client accounting, collections, or financial operations.
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Law firm or professional services experience preferred.
  • Experience with financial management systems; Aderant/Expert/BillBlast experience is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and discretion when handling confidential information.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Client Account Specialists.
  • Oversee client billing, collections, invoicing, and account management activities.
  • Review invoices for accuracy, compliance, and client-specific billing requirements.
  • Manage month-end billing activities, work-in-progress, and deadlines.
  • Partner with attorneys to resolve billing issues and manage special billing arrangements.
  • Collaborate with eBilling, Rate Analysts, and Finance & Accounting teams.
  • Analyze billing activity and prepare management reports.
  • Identify opportunities to improve billing processes, efficiency, and client service.
  • Maintain strong relationships with attorneys and internal stakeholders.
  • Support departmental projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Compensation

$130,000–$160,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

Ideal Candidate:

A strong billing or client accounting professional with team leadership experience, law firm/professional services background, and excellent attorney/client relationship skills.
