Job summary

Barry Callebaut Group in Dunmore, PA is seeking a Clerk, Shipping and Receiving to manage driver check-in/out, verify loads, and maintain precise shipping records for raw materials and finished goods. You will coordinate with SAP and TMS to ensure data accuracy and support inventory control, working 7:00am–3:30pm, Monday–Friday, onsite.

Responsibilities include adhering to GMP, HAACP, and BRC standards and OSHA compliance, providing daily reports to the Warehouse Supervisor, operating a forklift

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions, safety procedures, and quality standards in English.
• Ability to communicate clearly with supervisors and team members in a production environment

• Receives goods and verifies the quality and count of all items unloaded from trucks and trailers; checks against suppliers count and reports discrepancies.
• Verifies and records all items loaded for shipments.
• Maintains shipping records for requested categories including goods returned and returnable pallets.
• Checks drivers in and out of appointments using SAP and TMS.
• Transports materials on shipping docks with a hand truck or forklift.
• Completes information on damage claims for in-transit damage.
• Participates in audits.

About The Role

Clerk, Shipping and Receiving will be responsible for checking in and out drivers in a timely manner while being able to accurately maintain all shipping and receiving records of raw material and finished goods. This role will also ensure the quality and accuracy of quantity of all loads that are unloaded and loaded prior to shipping. Will need to communicate between OTM and SAP to ensure virtual and physical matches are present prior receiving and shipping.

SHIFT HOURS:

Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm

Key Responsibilities Include

• Must follow all Good Manufacturing Practices, HAACCP requirements, and BRC standards for this area and function.
• Must comply with all OSHA standards.
• All other relevant duties as assigned by Management.
• Provide daily reports to the Warehouse Supervisor.
• Receives goods and verifies the quality and count of all items unloaded from trucks and trailers; checks against suppliers count and immediately reports discrepancies to carriers and supervisor.
• Verifies and records all items loaded for shipments.
• Carefully and accurately maintains shipping records for requested categories including goods returned, and returnable pallets.
• Maintains database of shipment data to ensure that customer orders are updated.
• Notifies supervisor of major discrepancies, over-shipments, or substitutions.
• Process daily paperwork and support inventory control and logistics as needed.
• Check drivers in and out of appointments accurately using SAP and TMS.
• Completes information on damage claims for in-transit damage.
• Transports materials on shipping docks with a hand truck or forklift.
• Loads trucks using a forklift.
• Supports team members as needed.
• Participates in audits.
