Job summary

St. Joseph’s Health in Totowa, NJ, is seeking a Front Desk/Patient Access representative to greet patients and visitors, directing them to the correct department and coordinating scheduling of exams according to established guidelines.

You will provide patient instructions including preps, assist callers across the department, and screen and route inquiries to the appropriate team. The role requires a friendly, accurate communicator who can handle routine administrative tasks with care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 3–6 months of relevant work experience.
• Ability to read and understand instructions, add and subtract numbers, and make comparisons between numbers and letters.

The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc.” The salary range does not include incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation.

About The Team

St. Joseph’s Health officially opened the Totowa Health Campus during a special ceremony that included a ribbon cutting and a blessing by the Most Reverend Kevin Sweeney, Bishop of the Diocese of Paterson. More than 100 people attended the event, including Congressman Bill Pascrell, 9th District of New Jersey; John Coiro, Mayor of Totowa; and Senator Kristen Corrado, of New Jersey’s 40th Legislative District.

The new campus, located at 225 Minnisink Road in Totowa, is a 140,000-square-foot facility that integrates a comprehensive listing of outpatient services, including primary and urgent care, diagnostic imaging including MRI and CT, Radiology, Lab Services and Pharmacy all under one roof. A host of medical and surgical physician offices are located on the campus, including cardiology, urology and gynecology, along with specialty Centers including Rehabilitation and Physical Therapy. This fall, the health campus will also be the new home of a Comprehensive Cancer Center opening in October.
