Job summary

St. Joseph’s Health in Totowa, NJ seeks a qualified Billing/Coding support professional to manage day-to-day activities using a series of reports to reconcile toward registered cases in Invision and to document procedures in INFINITT prior to chart coding by Medical Records.

Requirements include a High School diploma or equivalent (some college desirable), 2–3 years of related experience, and certification in billing/coding within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Document procedures in INFINITT prior to sending the chart to Medical Records for coding.
• Collaborate with Medical Records and other teams to ensure timely and accurate coding.

Job description

Responsible for a variety of day-to-day activities using a series of reports: (IMG Exception, Late Charges, DSS Reports, OA and Medicare ABN Screen) to reconcile towards registered cases in Invision and procedures performed in INFINITT prior to sending chart to Medical Records to code.

Qualifications

Work requires a High School diploma or equivalent some college desirable and two to three years of previous work related experience required. Certification in billing/coding is required within 12 months of hire. Requires analytical skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment, attention to detail and problem resolution. Must possess strong customer service, communication, organizational & interpersonal skills.

About the Team

St. Joseph’s Health officially opened the Totowa Health Campus during a special ceremony that included a ribbon cutting and a blessing by the Most Reverend Kevin Sweeney, Bishop of the Diocese of Paterson. More than 100 people attended the event, including Congressman Bill Pascrell, 9th District of New Jersey; John Coiro, Mayor of Totowa; and Senator Kristen Corrado, of New Jersey’s 40th Legislative District.

The new campus, located at 225 Minnisink Road in Totowa, is a 140,000-square-foot facility that integrates a comprehensive listing of outpatient services, including primary and urgent care, diagnostic imaging including MRI and CT, Radiology, Lab Services and Pharmacy all under one roof. A host of medical and surgical physician offices are located on the campus, including cardiology, urology and gynecology, along with specialty Centers including Rehabilitation and Physical Therapy. This fall, the health campus will also be the new home of a Comprehensive Cancer Center opening in October.
