Job summary

Baptist Health in Louisville is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our laboratory team. You will draw blood by capillary or venipuncture, label tubes accurately, and deliver specimens to the Lab following our procedures.

Responsibilities include coordinating with phlebotomy staff, performing front office tasks, loading specimens onto the Roche MPA system, answering calls, and supporting training as directed by supervision.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy experience or successful completion of Phlebotomy training in an accredited program.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Maintains Order Monitor and organizes workload with phlebotomy staff.
• Performs Front Office responsibilities; processes extra tubes including centrifuging and storage.
• Loads specimens onto Roche Modular Pre-Analytics (MPA) system.
• Answers telephones and responds to inquiries from hospital personnel, visitors, or others.
• Participates in training procedures as directed by supervisor.

Answers telephones, responds to inquiries by hospital personnel, visitors or others.

Participates in training procedures as directed by supervisor.

Requirements

• Phlebotomy experience or successful completion of Phlebotomy training in an accredited Phlebotomy program preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
