Job Details

Pay Transparency: The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey. The compensation offered will depend on factors including education, skills and experience.

Responsibilities

• Process all diet orders and menus for the facility; prepare production tallies for cooks.
• Assist on the patient tray line during meal service; perform additional cafeteria duties as assigned.
• Coordinate with the dietitian regarding patient food preferences and identify high-risk menus.
• Complete meal tallies for each prepared meal and notify cooks of special items.
• Coordinate all aspects of menu preparation in accordance with patient meal schedules.
• Correct modified menus in conjunction with physician diet orders; maintain adequate menu supply.
• Prepare production reports and distribute to appropriate areas; process Cerner diet orders.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

• High School diploma or equivalent

Preferred:

• One year of food service experience and basic knowledge of normal and therapeutic nutrition

Scheduling

• Shifts and days vary with primary shifts being 6:00am-2:30pm, 8:30am-5:00pm and 10:30am-7:00pm
• Rotating weekends and holidays
• Full Time
