Job summary

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication with customers and colleagues.
• Basic arithmetic in money and weights for order handling and invoicing.
• Proficiency in database, inventory, and order processing systems.

Responsibilities

• Enter orders for all SFG facilities.
• Communicate issues on new orders (credit holds, price verification, short weights, lead times).
• Transmit daily shortage information to customers/brokers/sales reps.
• Coordinate holiday delivery schedules with customers/brokers.
• Assist in departmental tasks during vacations and vacancies.
• Ensure appointment times meet customer demands.
• Handle will calls, special orders, and processing.
• Register SOP credit notes.

Job Summary: Assist in handling of customer orders and issues, sales inquiries, pricing and telephone management by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Order entry for all SFG facilities
• Communicate to Sales Rep/Brokers and issues on new order problems (credit holds, price verification, short weights, and short lead times)
• Transmit daily shortage information to customers/brokers/sales representatives
• Coordinate holiday delivery schedules with customers/brokers
• Assist in all departmental tasks during vacations and vacancies
• Ensure appointment times implemented are in accordance with customer demands
• Handle will calls, special orders, and processing
• SOP credit note entry

Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
• One year related experience and/or training

Language Skills:

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills:

• Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
• Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability:

• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Inventory software; Order processing systems and Spreadsheet software.
