The City of Canton is seeking part-time seasonal workers to perform various administrative duties. This role is ideal for high school or college students looking to gain experience in city government. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents and submit a valid photo ID.

Shift: This is a part-time and seasonal position with variable daily work hours. Seasonal Employment is available from May 1 through September 30.
Distinguishing Features of the Class: This position is available in various City Departments.
This position requires attention to detail. Clerical duties will be assigned. Duties must be performed efficiently.
Examples of Work: May include, but are not limited to; filing, answering phone, drafting letters or other city documents, and assisting other city employees or the general public.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to carry out oral and written instructions with minimum detail. Must possess adequate communication skills and deal tactfully with citizens of the public.
Acceptable Experience and Training: Minimum age is generally 16 years old. A work permit is required for students ages 17 and under.
