Salary Range: $10.87 to $17.68

Shift: This is a part-time and seasonal position with variable daily work hours. Seasonal Employment is available from May 1 through September 30.
Distinguishing Features of the Class: This position is available in various City Departments.
This position requires attention to detail. Clerical duties will be assigned. Duties must be performed efficiently.
May include, but not limited to; filing, answering phone, drafting letters or other city documents, and assisting other city employees or the general public.
Ability to carry out oral and written instructions with minimum detail. Must possess adequate communication skills and deal tactfully with citizens of the public.
Minimum age is generally 16 years old. A work permit is required for students ages 17 and under.

Be advised that candidates may be subjected to a drug test. Accordingly, eligibility is not considered final until drug testing has been successfully completed with a negative result.

City of Canton permanent, full-time employees (working 30 hours per week or more) and their eligible dependents become eligible for health benefits on the first day of the month following 60 days of employment. Benefits include hospitalization, outpatient services, prescription coverage, dental, vision, and group life insurance.
