Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. in Summerville, SC is seeking a Warehouse Clerk for 1st shift (Mon-Fri, 7:00am-4:00pm). You will process orders and maintain inventory in our Warehouse Management System (WMS) to keep operations running smoothly.

A keen eye for detail, basic computer skills with Word/Excel/Outlook, and the ability to read safety rules are essential. Prior warehouse experience is a plus; we value reliability and teamwork.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Process orders and maintain inventory in a Warehouse Management System (WMS)
• Research and correct transaction errors
• Handle domestic and international shipping documents

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you'll need:

• Ability to speak, read (fine print) and write in English, including reading, understanding and interpreting safety rules, operating instructions and procedural documents
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office experience (Word, Excel and Outlook)

It'd be great if you also have:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of warehouse experience
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, with possible overtime when needed
• Experience entering and maintaining information in a WMS

This job requires the ability to:

• Lift objects of various shapes, sizes and weights
• Bend, stoop, squat, twist, push and pull
• Stand, sit or walk for long periods of time
• Handle or manage tools or equipment
• Tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments
• Carry objects 3-5 feet weighing up to 50 lbs, routinely
• Stand for prolonged periods of time >4 hours
• Walk continuously for more than 10,000 steps (4-5) miles per day
• Bend, stoop, squat, twist, push and pull objects of various shapes and sizes in team lift.
