Summary
The Clerk I will sort, label and file materials numerically, alphabetically, or by predetermined categories. The Clerk I will withdraw materials from files or microfiche upon request and maintain appropriate records of materials removed and returned.
Responsibilities
- Opens, sorts, distributes incoming mail and packages, and prepares mailings as requested.
- Operates adding, copier, and various other general office machines.
- Prepares reports involving clerical or tabular information, to include performing simple calculations.
- Completes or assists clients in completing forms, reports, etc.
- Retrieves information from manual or electronic files to answer inquiries.
- Performs limited public contact duties.
- Performs basic computer skills such as keyboarding, spreadsheets, and presentation software.
- Answers telephones and/or serve as radio operator as directed.
- Performs any other duties as assigned.
