Job summary

Connors State College is seeking a Campus Police Officer to protect life and property, patrol campus grounds, and enforce college rules and state laws. The role requires knowledge of modern police practices, familiarity with campus geography, and the ability to respond to emergencies.

The officer may work 24-hour shifts, coordinate with other law enforcement, and participate in safety training and special assignments as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Must be CLEET certified or eligible for reciprocity.

Responsibilities

• Maintain assigned programs for the protection of people and property on campus.
• Supervise contract security personnel.
• Identify training needs and maintain records.
• Notify Chief of Police about campus safety issues.
• Educate campus community on emergency response plans and procedures.
• Conduct training for campus community on safety issues as assigned.
• Patrol the College to prevent violations and enforce rules.
• Provide safety escorts and respond to safety concerns as needed.
