Job summary

Central Connecticut State University Police Department seeks a Police Officer to maintain campus safety through crowd control, base security patrols, and response to emergencies. You will support the campus community with professional policing, engage in community-oriented safety initiatives, and uphold state regulations with integrity.

The role requires CT POST Certification and ongoing training to ensure high standards of service and safety.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Connecticut law enforcement officer.
• May be authorized to work on a temporary basis pending re-certification.
• Strong writing and speaking skills across varied audiences.

Responsibilities

• Provide crowd control at CCSU events and activities.
• Monitor designated areas to ensure security and authorized access.
• Give direction and routine information to the public.
• Participate in evacuations during emergencies or threats.
• Assist State Police in investigations.
