Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a recruiting lead for DoD contracts with DoW experience. The role requires 7+ years in full lifecycle recruiting, cleared candidate placement at Secret level, and strong AI/ATS tooling skills. Hybrid work with 3 onsite days in Dayton, OH or Colorado Springs, CO, and up to 10% travel.

You will partner with hiring managers and the proposal team to staff key positions, draft role descriptions, and refine KPIs while delivering high-quality candidates and scorecards.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen required.
• High School Diploma required.
• 7+ years of full-lifecycle recruiting for DoW contracts in technical roles.
• Proven ability to recruit cleared candidates at Secret level and above.
• Experience using AI recruiting tools for search, parsing, and LLM-assisted outreach.
• Experience with ATS and recruiting CRMs, pipelines, automation and candidate nurturing.
• Experience advising hiring managers and delivering candidate scorecards.
• Strong recruiting metrics knowledge (time-to-fill, pipeline velocity, submittal-to-interview).
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree; Secret-level clearance; CIR or equivalent; mapping to LCATs; experience with PWS/SOW.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the recruiting lead for assigned programs and partner with hiring managers to define role KPIs and candidate profiles.
• Draft role-specific job descriptions and postings for cleared technical talent.
• Develop and execute proactive sourcing strategies using LinkedIn, HireEZ, ATS, referrals, niche forums and events.
• Identify, engage and screen passive candidates and map experience to contract labor categories.
• Present qualified candidates using scorecards and conduct interviews, references and offer negotiations.
• Track recruiting metrics and optimize sourcing funnels; support transitions, onboarding and client travel.
