Job summary

Azusa Solutions is seeking a Cleared System Administrator in the Washington, DC area. The role focuses on managing a Linux and Windows based cloud environment, with responsibilities including E-mail, SSO, DNS, and Windows server administration.

The candidate must hold an active Top Secret clearance and be local to DC/MD/VA. Required experience includes 5+ years in Windows Server admin and 5+ years in Linux (RHEL), plus AWS experience and AD/SSO knowledge.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience with Windows Server administration and network oversight.
• 5+ years of experience with Linux (RHEL), including patching and maintenance.
• Experience with GitLab on team-based projects.
• 2+ years of Experience with Amazon Cloud Services
• Experience with Active Directory, ADFS, Kerberos, and SAML

Responsibilities

• Manage a Linux and Windows based cloud environment for development and production.
• Design solutions to improve performance and security for Red Hat Linux servers.
• Configure enterprise services such as Email, SSO and DNS, and install/maintain Windows servers and services.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues reported via Service Desk systems and automated monitoring.
• Perform patch management across all environments and monitor system performance.

Description

Seeking a System Administrator to help manage a Linux and Windows based cloud environment, including virtual resources for applications in development and production. Duties will include designing solutions to improve performance and security for the client’s Red Hat Linux servers and configure enterprise services such as Email, Single Sign-On (SSO) and DNS, as well as Installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows servers and services. Troubleshooting and resolving issues reported via Service Desk systems and automated monitoring is required. Performing patch management across all environments and monitoring system performance.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience with Windows Server administration, networking, and system administration background.
• 5+ years of experience with Linux operating systems (RHEL) including patching and maintenance
• Experience with leveraging version control systems on team-based projects (GitLab)
• 2+ years of Experience with Amazon Cloud Services
• Experience with Active Directory (Windows AD, ADFS, Kerberos, and SAML)

Preferred Experience

• Ability to architect enterprise solutions including data, display, and information architecture
• Thorough understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle and exposure to Agile or iterative SDLCs
• Comfortable working with automation tools by writing/modifying scripts for development, maintenance and system monitoring using Python and other scripting languages
• Experience deploying open-source and custom applications (Drupal, React, and NodeJS)
• Experience creating CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins
• Certification: AWS Solutions Architect - Associate
