Job summary

Bestgate Engineering, LLC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Telework Eligible) to join a team developing and supporting tools that enhance enterprise development workflows. You will focus on Java-based software development, automation, integrations, and modernization across the Atlassian ecosystem.

The ideal candidate has deep Java experience in Linux, strong scripting with Bash/Python/Groovy, and a track record with the Spring Framework, Docker, and OpenSearch.

Qualifications

• 9 years of relevant Software Engineering experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Proficiency with the Linux CLI.
• Strong scripting experience with Bash, Python, and/or Groovy.
• Recent Java software development experience in Linux environments.
• Experience with the Spring Framework.
• Experience with modern web technologies including JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience with Docker and containerization technologies.
• Experience with Apache Velocity.
• Experience with OpenSearch.
• Experience using the Atlassian Plugin SDK to create or extend Atlassian applications.
• Experience documenting configurations, procedures, and system changes.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Four (4) years of additional TE or related experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.
• Required Security Clearance: TS/SCI w/Poly

Required

*Salary Range: $ 185,000 - $230,000
