Job summary

Bestgate Engineering seeks a Cleared Software Engineer - Java to join a high-performing Agile team. You will build, enhance, and modernize backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and Angular, while solving complex technical challenges to improve performance and reliability.

The role requires 6+ years in software development, experience with Linux and Docker, and a TS/SCI w/Poly clearance. You’ll participate in deployments, planning, and continuous improvement within a government-oriented

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software development/engineering experience.
• Strong experience with Java development.
• Experience with Spring Boot backend services.
• Experience with a JavaScript framework such as Angular.
• Experience working in Linux environments.
• Experience with Docker/containerized environments.
• Experience troubleshooting issues, resolving defects, and implementing application enhancements.
• Experience maintaining and updating software libraries and dependencies.
• Experience with framework and code-level changes.
• Ability to support deployments and production/release activities.
• Ability to participate in Agile planning and continuous improvement.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Four (4) years of additionalexperience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.
• Required Security Clearance: TS/SCI w/Poly
