Job summary

Bestgate Engineering, LLC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Telework Eligible) to join a team delivering tools and services that enhance enterprise development workflows. You will focus on Java-based software development, automation, integrations, and modernization across the Atlassian ecosystem, collaborating with developers, admins, PMs, and mission customers.

Qualifications

• 9 years of relevant Software Engineering experience.
• Proficiency with the Linux command-line interface (CLI).
• Strong scripting experience with Bash, Python, and/or Groovy.
• Recent Java software development experience in Linux environments.
• Experience with the Spring Framework.
• Experience with modern web technologies including JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience with Docker and containerization technologies.
• Experience with Apache Velocity.
• Experience with OpenSearch.
• Experience using the Atlassian Plugin SDK to create or extend Atlassian applications.
• Experience documenting configurations, procedures, and system changes.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Four (4) years of additional TE or related experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.
• Required Security Clearance: TS/SCI w/Poly.
• Desired experience with the Atlassian suite of tools, including Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Bamboo.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible.
• Experience with cloud technologies.
• Experience developing integrations and services that improve workflows and productivity.
• *Salary Range: $ 185,000 - $230,000*
