Job summary

SMX is seeking a dynamic Technical Lead to guide a team of engineers in designing, developing, and delivering mission‑critical solutions. This hybrid role balances leadership and hands‑on technical work, with about 50% focusing on project leadership, customer engagement, and team organization, and 50% on coding, design, and architecture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of experience in software development, systems engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years in a technical leadership or team lead capacity.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, Go, C#; Docker/Kubernetes; cloud-native services.
• Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, Kanban; experience applying them.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; customer-facing experience.
• CompTIA Security+ and AWS Cloud Certification.
• DoD or national security sector experience (desired).

Responsibilities
