Sunfire Solutions seeks a Cleared Cloud DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and optimize automated CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure for government and commercial clients. You will lead technical challenges, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust software delivery systems.

Ideal candidates have TS/SCI with poly, strong automation skills, and hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), containers, and monitoring stacks.

Competenze

• 10+ years of demonstrated DevOps or SRE experience.
• Extensive experience with CI/CD tools Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, CircleCI.
• Significant experience with Infrastructure as Code Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Puppet, Chef.
• Deep understanding and hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, Go, PowerShell.
• Experience with monitoring/logging tools and security best practices.

Description

We are looking for talented DevOps Engineers with a TS/SCI security clearance (and active poly) security clearance to design, implement, and optimize automated CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure for our clients. You will work closely with stakeholders and management to gather requirements, take the lead on technical challenges, and mentor junior team members. In this role, you should be able to work independently with minimal supervision, communicate effectively, stay organized, and provide detailed technical analysis.

What you will be doing:

• Designing and implementing robust CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery.
• Automating infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
• Managing, optimizing, and securing cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Implementing and managing containerization strategies (Docker, Kubernetes orchestration).
• Developing and maintaining comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
• Collaborating with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment.
• Troubleshooting complex infrastructure, application, and pipeline issues across environments.
• Mentoring junior DevOps engineers and fostering a culture of automation and continuous improvement.
• Identifying and evaluating new tools and technologies to enhance efficiency and reliability.

What you will not be doing:

• Spending your days writing user documentation, or designing powerpoint slides
• Simply installing and integrating COTS products
• Working with stagnant technologies
• Writing status reports or justifying career-goal metrics

Technical Skills:

• 10+ years of demonstrated DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) experience.
• Extensive experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, CircleCI).
• Significant experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Puppet, Chef).
• Deep understanding and hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS strongly preferred, Azure, GCP).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Go, PowerShell).
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Splunk, Datadog).
• Strong knowledge of networking, security best practices, and Linux operating systems.
• Experience with version control systems (Git) and branching strategies.
