Job summary

SENTRYSIX Defense Group, Inc. is seeking an Armed Security Specialist II to provide physical security, inspections and entry access control at designated sites.

This position requires US citizenship, a valid driver’s license, five years of verifiable security or military experience, and the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance. Training and conditions may include austere environments and protective gear.

Qualifications

• US citizenship required.
• Valid US driver’s license.
• Minimum five years verifiable experience in U.S. Military, corrections, security and/or Law Enforcement.
• Texas Private Security Level III Training completed within 30 days or at applicant’s expense prior to appointment.
• Clean criminal history and ability to pass a pre-employment background investigation.
• Must have active or ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance up to SECRET.
• Honorable discharge from the military (if applicable).
• Able to don all required personal protective gear and to qualify with all assigned weapons.

Responsibilities

• Perform internal guard services at entry control points, roving patrols and armed escort guard services.
• Provide excellent customer service to guests, residents, employees and contractors.
• Provide roving mobile patrol services within designated areas.
• Screen vehicles and personnel at entry control points.
• Protect equipment and personnel.
• Maintain weapons qualification on assigned weapon systems.
• Maintain proficiency with Non-Lethal Weapons.
• Perform internal security guard services, for up to 12 hours, in austere conditions (heat, cold, wind, dust, rain or snow).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform internal guard services to include but not limited to, vehicle and personnel entry control points, internal roving patrols and armed escort guard services;
• Provide excellent customer service to guests, residents, employees and contractors in the communities and facilities we serve;
• Provide roving mobile patrol services within designated areas;
• Provide screening services of vehicles and personnel at entry control points;
• Protect equipment and personnel;
• Maintain weapons qualification on assigned weapon systems;
• Maintain proficiency with Non-Lethal Weapons;
• Perform internal security guard services, at any potential internal security posting, for up to 12 hours, often in austere conditions to include extreme heat, cold, wind, dust, rain or snow;
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• US Citizen
• Must have a valid US Driver’s License
• Must have a minimum of five years verifiable experience in U.S. Military, corrections, security and/or Law Enforcement.
• Must have completed Texas Private Security Level III Training course within previous 30 days or ability to complete course at own expense prior to appointment
• Must have clean criminal history and able to pass a pre-employment background investigation
• MUST have active or ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance up to SECRET
• Honorable discharge from the military (if applicable)
• Employment with SENTRYSIX is contingent upon a favorable background investigation
• Able to don all required personal protective gear.
• Qualify and maintain proficiency with all assigned weapons.
