Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Mason, OH is seeking a Specialist, Software Engineer (Embedded) to develop and integrate software for embedded target hardware. You will design and implement software in C/C++ for RTOS and work with hardware, firmware, and systems teams to meet performance and design objectives.

The role requires 4+ years in software engineering, a related degree, and the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance. Experience with DOORS, BSPs, and Python scripting is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• 4+ years of professional experience in computer or software engineering; or a graduate degree with at least 2 years of related experience.
• At least 4 years of professional C/C++ development experience.
• Ability to obtain a Department of War Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement software for embedded target hardware.
• Use C and C++ to design and implement software for embedded RTOS.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure interfaces meet system performance requirements.
• Design, document, develop, and test software components per standards.
• Support all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, integration, and testing.
• Participate in peer reviews and contribute to defect identification and resolution.
